L. Kent Wolgamott: Book provides insight into Hal Holoun
In 1998, Linda Welsch wrote to Hal Holoun, asking for advice on painting. Holoun responded with a letter suggesting palettes for figure and portrait painting. That began decades of communication via email, workshops and in-studio lessons between student and teacher. Some of that communication was very technical — such as how to mix mediums or how two colors blend to create a specific tone and hue.
